Tuesday, August 17, 2010 - Boston, MA

Out in Boston for the 4th show of the Tears For Fears East Coast 2010 Tour. Once again, the crowds have been great. No real complaints to speak of and the band is having fun on stage and off. We all have been spending a lot of time together and I can't stress enough how cool of a "family" we all have become through the years. Not just while touring either.

The merchandise on this tour seems to be a great success. I do recommend getting to the table early. Many do not know this but the venue posters are a limited edition run and we only offer 30 per show. Also, we have extremely limited edition t-shirts. Some pricey at $80 (but great quality and includes autographed tags) and other "Hurting" style shirts that we recently started to carry priced much lower.

Some may have seen Curt's post about etiquette on the tour from fans towards the band. It is definitely not a good thing to follow a band/artist to their hotel....

Will Owsley, the Middle Tennessee-based singer, songwriter, engineer and guitarist known professionally as Owsley, died April 30 of an apparent suicide.

Mr. Owsley was Amy Grant’s touring guitarist for 16 years, and his own music veered into edgier, power-pop terrains. He was nominated for a Grammy award for his engineering work on 1999 solo debut album Owsley, released through Giant Records.

He teamed with Millard Powers and Zak Starkey in early 1990s pop band The Semantics, a group that signed to Geffen Records. And his vocal and guitar work were favored by famed producer Mutt Lange, who hired Mr. Owsley to perform with Shania Twain on numerous national television shows and awards programs.

Giant Records dissolved soon after Owsley’s...
